Good health and well-being are essential to life at Mayflower Place and our advanced Fitness Center is designed to help seniors remain independent and active through a unified mind, body, and spirit approach.
We offer personalized fitness training, weight reduction and other specialty programs designed to complement any pre-or-post surgery needs, including our Post Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Our fitness director will create a customized fitness program based on overall goals, health status, and age of our individual residents.
The Fitness Center features state-of-the art Keiser pressurized air strength training machines that ease stress on bones and joints. A fully equipped exercise room with resistance machines, a balance-training area, and cardiovascular equipment. Additional exercise programs include a chair exercise class and low-impact aerobics classes.
Our large indoor heated pool and hydrotherapy spa can be enjoyed individually or as part of water exercise classes, which include, water aerobics and walking, Ai Chi (a unique exercise that combines deep breathing with slow body movements), and the Arthritis Foundation’s Aquatic Program.
